Leader Technologies Signs Agreement With Epson Printers To Distribute Its LTCM® Direct-to-Desktop Communication System

Newport Beach, California - Leader Technologies Incorporated announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Epson, the leading supplier of ink jet printers and all-in-one office devices, to distribute its LTCM direct-to-desktop communication service on products that ship in the United States and Canada.

Epson will use the service to communicate more effectively with its customers that opt-in to receive their messages. Epson will segment messages to be delivered over its News and Announcements, Specials and Promotions and Supplies topics on the LTCM Network.

The LTCM service allows manufacturers to communicate to its customers directly on the desktop of their computer. This service delivers results that are often times 5 times as effective as email marketing. End users are open to receive messages in this manner because they control which manufacturers they receive messages from, the topics of information that are of interest to them, and the frequency they receive messages. Users can select to receive messages once per day, once per week, or monthly on each individual topic. Placing this much control in the hands of the user, means that messages are read by the people that want to receive them.

Epson estimates that over 360,000 LTCM clients will be active on desktops within the next twelve months. As the installed base of LTCM clients grows, this will benefit all participating companies on the network. The Epson channel will be available for all existing LTCM users. Typically, between 20 - 30% of existing users will subscribe to channels from other participating companies.

Nelson Greenwood, Vice President of Marketing for Leader Technologies said, "we are excited to have Epson join other companies using the LTCM service. We think that providing a communication service that can be configured to match the desires of the individual makes it a very successful method for delivering various types of content. We have seen messages that garner a new 100% read rate depending on its subject matter. This can be invaluable when companies need to reach out to customers on critical subjects such as technical support announcements or critical updates."

"As the installed base of LTCM client applications grows, companies can reach out to an ever widening audience. This is becoming a very effective and important marketing tool for all types of companies to use," added Greenwood.

Leader Technologies is headquartered in Newport Beach, California, 714-757-1787, and is dedicated to producing superior product registration and CRM tools for the consumer products industry.

With our consistent growth over the last several years, we have seen our activity grow to multi-millions of transactions per month. We anticipate this trend to continue over the next several years as more customers discover the benefits of our systems and we want to insure we have the necessary bandwidth to accommodate any volume that will come our way" said Dana Wood, Director of Software Engineering at Leader.

The Qwest iQ networking Internet Port is a reliable and dedicated Internet access service over the advanced Qwest OC-192 Internet protocol (IP) network, one of the most sophisticated networks available.
